Crunch Time with Dungeon Brawl

Lots of fine tuning going into the character classes before I send off for my professional-looking version from Game Crafter. I've also made Tableflip Games overshirts for when I demo! I really feel it adds a bit of professionalism. Do you really want to pitch your game wearing a Dr. Who T-shirt?

I went to a Board Game Designer event at Comic Quest in Costa Mesa, CA. It was very cool. I got to learn 1 game and play 1. I really wish I could have played a few. The sucky part is there were more designers than players. Being a 3 player minimum really hurt. My game was played 3 times over 8 hours.

Next on my plate is Strategicon at the LAX Hilton. I'm there for Saturday and Sunday for 8 and 4 hours for demoing, respectively. I've been told that this con has been dying down and isn't worth it. The person who told me this also won't go to other bigger cons to demo his stuff. Gateway, I think, is probably one of the weaker of the 3 strategicon conventions.

Oh! This week Staples is having a sale on indoor 4 x 2 1/2 banners! 20 bucks! I'm going to put an order in this weekend. I even bought a fitted tablecloth from which I shall hang it.

Lastly, I started a "Treasure Horde" project (which you can see the finished product here: https://scontent-sjc2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpa1/t31.0-8/10333469_16339... ) which was to make a cool first person token for Dungeon Brawl. (I was bored and no playtesting was happening) The gems were the last component and now I have a ton of them. What did I do? I packaged them up and now they're for sale at my FLGS! https://scontent-sjc2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfp1/t31.0-8/11895119_16359... I don't think there's a market for it but I wouldn't mind going off and selling these things online or legit in stores.

Lots of stuff to do! Time to get back to work!
