Hi there, my name is Tyler Reeves and I have a game that I've been working on for about 16 months now, play tested it 99 times and have it at a pretty good stage right now so I thought I'd share it with other game developers. The local gamers who've had a chance to play it have been nothing but kind towards it. Asking for me to bring it out all the time so they can play. I could actually have it it further along by now but I am currently jumping back and forth on 3 other games that I'm working on as well. This is the one that is furthest along because I have most of the art already done. It's based off of a underground Surrey, BC, Canada comic from the 90's that a friend of mine drew for years.
Its a 6 dice Yahtzee style game with cards that you use to manipulate dice and further you along, and paper miniatures that you fight. It is best described as King Of Tokyo on booze and weed.

Basics:
Everyone plays as Karate Killer. An Ass-kickin' son of a bitch who wants to buy a Sega Genesis that he found on craigslist. Problem is, he doesn't have any cash. Help him break into a bottle depot to live his dream. To get to the bottle depot, you have to jump through peoples back yards, beat the crap out of them and steal their shit as well as collect empties along your way. Once the first karate killer breaks into the depot, an alarm goes off and you have limited turns to gather your loot and fight your way back out through the yards. All before the cops come to bust your ass!

You might fight people from Hipsters to Bikers, Backyard Wrestlers to Crackheads, Skater Kids to Rockers or Old People to Juggalos. Either way no one is safe from karate killer's fists! Use weapons along the way to help you serve up beats! Whoever has the most cash value in the end from all the stuff you loot and empties you steal, wins the game!
Its a fun 45-60 minute game that is funny as it is entertaining.

I am currently working on a rule book right now but to break it down, the game runs like 6 dice Yatzee. There are 6 custom dice that are the main components of the game. Certain sides of the dice, help you gain cards from 2 different decks. A "Weapons" deck that helps you attack and knock down your foes. A "Face" card deck which helps you in various ways to slow down other players and make them lose money, or cause random amounts of chaos through out the game. Money is the goal. Whether you're collecting beer cans or stealing loot from back yards, money is like the fate points of the game. Other sides of the dice are used to gain the money and other are the way you attack Goons.

Goons are the people you fight in order to advance in the game. You start by entering a back yard and pulling a Yard Card. The Yard Card will tell you who's yard it is. Like Hipsters, Bikers, Goths, ect. Each player spends however long it takes to knock all the Goons down in the yard, usually 2-6 turns depending on your rolls and how tough they are. Once you've knocked all the Goons over, you loot the yard and jump a fence into the next yard where you will follow the same procedure.

Once you knock down the Goons in the second yard, you jump a fence into the bottle depot where there is a whole new mechanic using the same 6 dice but it helps you gain money very quickly or it can make you flee with nothing. The first Karate Killer to enter the depot, triggers an alarm and this is where the game gets interesting cause you are now on a time limit of 10 turns to escape out of the depot and both yards before the cops come to bust you. You roll to see how many Goons get back up from the beating Karate Killer already gave them and you have to fight your way back out. You can't spend too long dicking around cause the further you are away from getting out of the last yard, the more loot you have to ditch to escape, leaving you with less money and hurting your chances of winning.

That's just an quick idea of the game but so far it is hitting it off with the local gamers cause the art is funny and different and the game is hilarious and fun.

Any feed back would be helpful as this is my first game that I plan to release on my own or try to have published.

This looks like a blast and the art appeals to me.

It reminds me of a mix between some of the 80's Gaming plus today's cartoon Bob's Burgers (Should he ever be a Karate Killer). :)

The two (2) paragraph rule set may need a bit of refinement. I would suggest looking at current KS games for their rule sets (most publish them). I believe in a KISS mentality (Keep it Simple Silly) and pictures as reference for action.

e.g. "...you jump a fence into the bottle depot where there is a whole new mechanic using the same 6 dice..." Maybe demonstrating this w/ a image of the tile, the character moving between both tiles the dice being rolled and the results table comparison.

Just a suggestion.

Thanks man. I designed the game around the art cause I've loved it since I was a teenager. Thanks for the input on describing the game, the one thing I lack is that. I can describe it great with words from my mouth but with words on paper, its a bit difficult for me. I have a writer working on the rule book. The rulebook will be like a comic and describe things better than I did. :)
