This is the beginning of my design document for my multiplayer arena shooter card game (working title).

Setting: I'm very much a 'top-down' designer. I start with the theme or an idea, and then try to come up with rules (mechanics) that quickly and easily represent said themes or ideas.

Crafter Con 2018 - Robert Lawler: Intellectual Property for Board Games

Attorney Robert Lawler gave a 1 hour presentation at Crafter Con 2018 on intellectual property law as it relates to board games, and then answers some questions from the audience.

Robert “Bo” Lawler has been an attorney specializing in intellectual property since 2005, working at several firms in Wisconsin as well as serving at the US District Court in Iowa.
