Hardy's Design Blog - Cadence

Cadence - Road Racing Championship.png

Hey everyone,

So about a month ago, I saw this contest going on on BGG:
http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1211499/18-card-microgame-contest/page/1

The contest has one big limitation and that's it: Make a game that has 18 cards(no more no less) and no components other than that. Is it extremely difficult to make a game with just 18 cards? Well, apparently, its easy; the contest already has 75+ entries. My game 'Cadence - Road Racing Championship' will also be included in that.

Hardy's Design Blog - Introductory post

Hi,
My name is Tom Hardy and i am from New York. It has been just over an year since i have stepped into the world of boardgaming, but i've never been more addicted to anything else.

Stealth - glitches and probable solutions

Laying down the final art has started. We are still
facing the problem of very very few play testers.
Some mechanics have been modified. Duel
initiation and run away mechanics have changed
to remove a few glitches. The glitches and
changes made were:

GLITCHES:
Knife: after some final solo testing, I found out a
glitch in the knife's limitation/ability. It states
that a knife can only be used when moved on the
same block and you have to use one turn to do it.
In rare cases, when a player is left only with a
knife, and he starts dueling with another player,

Stealth PnP out for playtesting!!

Playtesters alert! Finally! The PnP version of stealth is here! And the players are NOT in 2 different houses!
For those who haven’t read my last three blogs..
Stealth is a 2-6 player strategy action game where a criminal team is trying to do their crime in a location and escape when a cop team who is at the same place is trying to kill them. You play on the map of the place by moving your pawn/s three places in one turn.
Here’s the link to the basic requirements you’ll need to play stealth including the word document of the rule book and everything else made to size:

Now, how about the players were in a place more exiting than a house?
How about an alley... or riverside mountains... or a mansion? How about... all three? The three most thrilling and exiting places for this situation to ever take place!
Well, they're better than Disneyland.
the criminal team have stolen cotten candy from mickey. the cop team enters from the ferous wheel. There is a brutal shootout at the carrousel. Seems like both the teams were already sitting on it.

if a team of cops and a team of criminals were in the same house... they didn't know their opponents were... the only time they did, they would be in a shootout... both teams with strong weapons, cops trying to kill the criminals, criminals trying to escape...
Yeah... basically, it's intense.
unless they both are in different houses but they think they are in the same house.
man, now that would be quite a show!
