BGDF etiquette / protocol question...

Hi All,

Semi-frequent reader, intermittent poster.

I don't want to annoy anyone by making announcements in the wrong place, so I figured I'd ask: What (if any) is the correct forum to announce the availability of a new freely-downloadable print-and-play game?

I post a new game every month on my website. It's the kind of thing that I figure y'all would be interested in. What forum is the correct one to post a new game announcement in? It's not General, as that's supposed to me BGDF stuff only. None of the Game Creation forums seem appropriate... I figured that User's Games would be right, but that has only one sub-forum. I've read the [GDW] Forum Protocols thread in the Game Design Workshop forum, and that doesn't really apply (as I'm not looking for that kind of feedback, though I always enjoy getting comments on my games).

Thanks in advance for your advice.

I can't speak for the admins/mods here, but the thread linked below serves a similar purpose to what you're trying to do. I think if you follow a similar pattern, no one will mind.

by the way, if your site - as I may suppose for your nickname - is invisible-city.com... well, I really appreciate it! :)

Thanks for the tip. I'll post in the same forum as the thread you referred to. If I offend anyone, I'll blame you.

...Just kidding. I'll apologize and stop, of course.

Thanks again,

- Jonathan

As a matter of fact, http://www.invisible-city.com/ is my site. I'm really glad you like what we're posting there. (Shameless self-promotion: http://www8.a2hosting.com/~invisibl/play/ is where the games are.)

Best Regards,

- Jonathan

One of the suggestion I had proposed for the new forum is some sort of short news that anybody could post where people are not necessarily looking for a reply.

It would contain messages like "I made a new game, go check it out". But it is just a suggestion, not sure if it will eventually be available.
