Okay, I'm an idiot. I just received an Instant Message, read it and closed it by accident. Does anyone know how to get it back? I tried reading the Private Messages, but it's not there. I searched the forums for "IM" and "Instant Message", but no luck.
If you sent me an instant message, please send it again as a private message.
If you know how to retreive a read IM, please let me know!
Right below the list of online users, on the left, are three little graphical buttons. The center one says "Saved Messages" when you hover over it. Click on that and you can read your last x messages.
(PS: I just learned about this myself a few days ago.)

This only works if you don't press the "Close" button with the "Delete" box checked.
My assumption with Pat's case is that the just hit the normal OS close box, not the Close button.

I made a post that "poked fun" at Seth originally having the word nothing instead of noting!!
And my post seemed to disappear once Seth edited his post to contain the work noting!

Perhaps because your post referenced my error, the disappearance of the error also caused a disappearance of the post?

The tip on how to use Instant Messaging is great, though. I had never noticed the little icons down there under the user list.
