It seems as if the last week or so of my posts have been deleted from various threads.... I am not sure if it's just me, but I think that at least one post of rookiedesign's disappeared also... any way to repost those vanished posts? Or any idea what happened?

Wasn't just yours, I lost a few of mine too, hell, there were 2 different versions of the thread where folks were talking abouting themselves, one of comps pulled up one and the laptop got the other! I think it has to do with the latest hack.....

Were any of the journal entries lost? Or are you still just trying to get them back up? Also, thanks for the all the hard work you guys put into this site to keep it up and running!

I don't know if any journals were affected. If there are any missing then they are gone for good unfortunately.

I think the hackers still have a backdoor into our server, since my thread alerting the community to the threat has been deleted. I'm not sure how to dislodge them...
Ok I finally figured it out. Apparently my ISP got bought out yet again, and for that reason the server got moved. I was told that I was sent an e-mail about this server move, but if I did I can't find it. At any rate, I guess the migration to the new server took place over a couple of days, with us being one two different servers off and on for that time. So basically we were working the same 'base' database (the copy they made before the migration) but we were making two seperate deltas (changes) to this base database as they flipped back and forth from the old and new site. I think now we have completed the move so all is good from this point forth.
Unfortunately, this took place right after the hack which made diagnosing the problem all that more difficult.
Also unfortunately, ISPs still don't feel the need to support dynamic sites such as this one appropriately. I requested the changes made to the old DB during the transition process be merged into the new one, but they denied this request. Also since I do not have access to the old database, I can not make these merges myself. This is about the fourth time I've had to deal with this particular loss of data, and it's just getting really old.
Again I apologize for the loss of service and posts and I hope you weren't too inconvenienced. If any of your posts are missing at this point, you will need to repost them. Again, I apologize but unfortunately it is out of my hands at this point.
