Just stumbled across this site by accident this morning, and had to sign up right away. I've played numerous role playing, board and strategy games in my 34 years, though most of my gaming experience was in Jr High, HS and College. But I have gotten the game design bug the last couple years, having helped my 5th grade daughter redevelop one she had made... did all the artwork, research, etc... it was called "The Mummy". Since then we (well, me pretty much) used the same mechanics for new board games that use the same rules, pieces, etc (but different boards and cards) called "Aztec" and "Volcano", and am putting the finishing touches on "Danger Island". Hoping to find lots of hints and dialogue with others who are developing games for fun or profit.

Welcome Patrick,
as you can see, I'm also quite new here, but so far I like it quite a bit. I think you'll find there's enough to read or talk about.

Welcome to both of you! It's great to see new, excited members joining our group of already-excited members! :)

Just an FYI
There is already a published game called Danger Island, which is somewhat close to yours. I know it doesn't really matter because there are several games that share names but it might help to clear confusion if you ever get published.
