Is this the backup forum or is everything acting weird still? With last posts listing in the 70's, and last actual posts from 9 August, I would guess this is the backup file.
Recommend a notice when a backup has been restored so we know it is safe to post again.
Freakin' hackers. Too bad they don't decide to harness all that creative energy for something helpful (or fun like a boardgame!)

No this is not the backup, I was working on a potential restore that did not seem to work.
Stay tuned for more information on the subject.
I forgot to mention, though it was stated previously, dont get to involved with your posts for the next few days. Chances are any new posts will be lost once the restore is completed.

I need to validate the restore with Darke, but I think besides some minor tweaking, we are back in biz!!!

Well not sure I rock, I did notice one issue involving users total posts, it is *way* off at least for me. Guess it does not really matter....
- It looks like we have lost around 10 days.
- I also check the user list and the number of posts for each users are not updated (I have 128 posts according to the list but if I look at all my posts I get 207 matches) (probably a script has to be executed to fix that).
Otherwise it looks fine. Good work.

I tought that there was a way to make the backup that would make sure that it will only recreate the missing threads without deleting the new ones.

No threads are missing except for those that were not part of the db backup file. I am not sure of the last db backup that was used for the restore, so some threads are missing.
And no new threads where lost....
