I'm not sure if any of you (Scurra, Sebastian, et al) live in London , but I wanted to check if everyone is doing okay.

It was terrible news to wake up to here in the states. I can't imagine what folks in the UK must be going through. Thoughts and prayers go out to those affected, directly and indirectly, by this heinous act.

I can't think of anything else to say that could possibly matter at this point.

I agree, terrible news. I have seen a few members list their address as London, I hope you're all OK!

Got an email from a cousin in London this morning, relieved to hear he's OK and I hope eveyone's friends and relatives there are alright, including of course my new BGDF acquaintances from the area. Respectful condolences to families and friends of anyone hurt or worse... stay strong UK.

Well I'm fine. I was actually about to go out (at about 9am) to a meeting near where the bus bomb was but then the news started to come in, and it seemed sensible not to go out. (The guys at that office have been in touch and said that they're fine but the whole area is still crawling with police.)

So instead, unfortunately, I'm sitting here laughing at some early jokes:

London's Burning,
London's Burning,
Fetch the Camera Phone,
Fetch the Camera Phone,
Text Text,
Text Text,
Turn on Sky News,
Turn on Sky News...

And yesterday had been such a good day...

Yeah I was around Angel/Kings Cross when it all started happening, tubes started closing up. Luckily I had my phone so I could plug in and listen to the radio while I forwent hopping on a bus and instead walked an hour to work, from Kings Cross to Bank (yeah placenames only relevant if you know London ;) ) past Moorgate and Liverpool St where everything was happening...

Weird day, as if we were under seige in our offices, waiting to venture out and figt our way across town in a post-apocalyptic warzone... Maybe in another 20 years ;)
