Getting to know your fellow BGDFers OR I stole this from BGG

Forgot all about this thread.

I'm a freelance programmer, user interface designer, and graphic designer, and am becoming a life coach. In my spare time I fundraise for a non-profit medical clinic and work on various boardgame-related projects. I have a daughter who is nearly 20, living with me while she goes to college. I love film, music, and people.

Lastly, my time management skills utterly suck.

I am a Software/Hardware Engineer by day (and also many nights), wireless technolgies, printers and printer firmware, video processing technologies are my main areas of focus. Though I do have a *jack of all trades* resume, which includes even recent MacIntel platform developement on an illustrator like product (sorry cant tell you which because I am under NDA)!

At some point I will help Darke get the new wiki site up and running (I promise), yeah dont blame Darke, the slow progress is my fault because of my work schedule.

Oh and I do attempt to design games, I am part owner of Infamous Games, Inc. We have gone as an exhibitor to GenCON for past 7 years years with our Adventures In Fantasy role playing game. We have also started work on a few other games, but again time keeps the progress very slow!

In my non-existent spare time I try to enjoy time with friends and family. I am an overall sports fanatic, there are not many sports that dont interest me to some degree. And sadly the sports sometimes sucks away valuable wiki design time! Shame on me! lol

And finally what is this *time management* concept you speak of Fastlearner? lol!

The problem with time management is that ... it takes time. You also realise that when you add up all the time of all the activities done in the day, the total is always lower than 24 hours. So there is always a part of your time that dissapear in the void of another dimension without you notice it.

I'm a graphic/web designer from time to time and a friend's employee also from time to time. My main waking hours are spent on designing my 1st game, doing it's graphics, testing the "thing" with friends. Part of my income comes from people close to me who invested it in the project: this money is invested and the return is then used by (lucky!) me to pay my rent and dues.

I love hiking and nature. Motorbikes are cool, movies are great, imagination is infinite and magnificient...oh and I also love spirituality:)

Greetings all! I'm a new member and figured this would be a good place to make my first post.

I'm a programmer by day (specializing in custom software for the web/intranets) and poker player by night. When I'm not working/playing poker I enjoy sports, board games, video games and the occasional evening with my girlfriend (ok ok, more than occasinal). I also have a 2 year old daughter named Kayla who is the cutest little girl in the world :)

Hopefully this forum will help me bring some of my design ideas to life :)

I look forward to talking with you all.

I am a purchasing manager at a very large foodservice distributor in Oregon. I manage the purchasing of non-perishable foods for distribution to restaurants, hospitals, schools, prisons, and the like. I am transitioning to a new position which I have wanted for a long time. I am responsible for a group of product specialists to answer the questions of our 200 sales people and 6000 customers about the 14,000 items we sell. My self proclaimed title is "Know-it-all".

I have a wonderful wife, a daughter and a son, and a black lab. I play WoW online in the evenings after everone goes to bed. I am working on my first board game design and hitting up every aquaintance to playtest. I also dabble in golf.

By day I'm an engineer. Even though I was trained to do chemical engineering, I somehow wound up doing safety work for the auto companies and also being our company's only IT person. Some might say I crash cars for a living, but that would be simplifying things a bit. Other activities I enjoy (besides playing and designing games) include music (I'm in a going nowhere bar band called Gingerine), caving (life member of the National Speleological Society), church (I also work in the nursery there every other month) and spending time with my wife and kids.

By day I am a mild mannered forklift driver for a distribution center in Kentucky. Besides gaming, my other hobbies include geocaching, reading, writing and basically doing the whole Theoretical Imagineer thing. I spent a few years in Itami, Japan and go back every couple years to see my wife's family, hike and buy otaku stuff.

I've had a couple little games published in Kenzer & Company's Knights of the Dinner Table comic/magazine.

A version of Battle Chess where the pieces have D&D powers (capture a piece to earn points then spend those points to activate powers) that was in KODT #111.

Then the Dueling Druids dice game in KODT #112. I've got a few other games in the pipeline for them including SaikoroBots and Wushu Jam Z.

My pet project is a "tokusatsu" RPG (tokusatsu = Japanese live action heroes) using the z100 System (zocchihedron).
