If you can see what tokens the other players have left and if you make it an open-auction (as opposed to blind auction), then I think it would turn more into bluffing game then a game of random guessing.

Sounds to me that this idea would be more fun if instead of blind bidding you have a once around open bid starting with the player to the left of the one that didn
