Ok im new here and kinda intimidated. Anyway im still in the phase of making the gameboard. I was thinking of having a mechanics where a dice roll would determine how many times the rule in the game will change. The board will also be constantly in motion as it will be movable in the X and Y axis. The number of time this happens also is determined by a six sided die. It will be more of a reach a goal kind of game.

Greetings.

First off don’t be intimidated, we were all new at one point.

Do you have a specific question about your game or are you just looking for a general opinion on your idea?

You mean a single rule varies? Or a completely new rule must be applied? I think variations on a common premise will be easier for players.

Constantly?? I'm getting dizzy. ;-) Sounds cool. Is it strongly tied to your game theme or just a gimmick mechanic? Why do you want to confuse?

Welcome.

Will there be any way for a player to have a sense of control? Can you execute any sort of strategy, or will there be too many random changes going on?

I like players being able to create or modify rules better than random rule changes. Same applies to the board changes. It would be interesting if every turn each player was allowed to rotate or change the board in some way based on their plans or strategy.

Good luck. Share more.
