Game idea thrown out there ... "Posse"

OK, here's my minor (possibly very minor) contribution to the creative juices that flow on this Forum. Although I've been in the "business" of selling games, and have been a player for almost all my life, I can't say that I've seen something like this .... so here goes.

I'd like to see a game (tentative title : "Posse" with, of course, a Western theme) where one player would be the "bad guy" and the rest of the players would be "the Posse".

Now, the first thing which will probably leap to mind is Ravensburger's "Scotland Yard", and, yes, this would have some similarities. But as much as I like "Scotland Yard", there are some fallacies in the game which (especially if played with some people) can become huge obstacles to overcome (there are always some folks who just have to cheat ;~)

I'm wondering if there is a "better" way for the mechanics of the game with some different plays made available to completely seperate it from "Scotland Yard" ?

First, sorry if the formatting sucks. This is my first time using quotes on here....

Smorgy, you may want to check out Fury of Dracula by Games Workshop, which is apparently a 'better' Scotland Yard.

The Boardgamegeek page for FoD is here
