i wish to add...i believe , no two original concept different game could be
compare, like the chess and the table top game .to my eyes they are
very different. ( both on legal issue and creators perpective. )

Not that I've really taken the time to analyze the gameplay, but my eyes caught on the movement pattern, and I wonder if you will run into a problem.

By rotating who starts first, Horse 1 seems to be at a distinct disadvantage as they will be almost 1 turn behind during the entire game and the middle horse will almost always have the advantage.

Like this (using 5 horses for simplicity):

1,2,3,4,5 Horse 1 gets first move rights,
2,3,4,5,1 Horse 1 moves last
3,4,5,1,2 Horse 1, while not last, is still one of the last to move
4,5,1,2,3 Horse 1, middle move - note that horse 3 (middle horse in this example) has finally moved to the last position.
5,1,2,3,4 Round 5 - Horse 1 is finally back to an advantageous position
etc...

While I realize that there are other factors in place, personally I would go for the middle horse every time - just to have an initial jump on the competition.

Of course, I could have read the rules all funky and be completely confused, in which case they need some clarification. *chuckle*

The game does sound very intriguing.

the game test board is 13 X 17 square.
i intend to consider reducing it to only 12 X 15 square.
it will make the long way smaller.i have done some measure study.
enlarge the measurement and the player pieces.
to pass the "anti-choking law".

the game normally ends in a few minutes, average 5 minutes.
and was mean to be played by "Lap" , 5 to 10 lap.
so single lap winning will not matter much.
the law of probality will really "Play On Your Luck".

yes, i know what you mean, but it was designed for children.
who normally like to play un-complicated rule.
just count 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5...move. you have done it. so easy to follow.

even if he already "grabbed that idea" , you are mentioning.
he is not sure, to win , even if he get that right horse.
the possibilty that he will be blocked on mid-way is there.

in normal course of playing,
i see that horse no.1 will make a Run-Away move.
to off-set it i created the "Rounder Rule".

and you are right.some horse you are mentioning are in disadvantage,
but in normal play ,it is the same case , just different scenario.
i mean... the advantage case vs. the disadvantage case.
after some mathemathical computation , i choice the later.

in most of the test game...average player pieces 5 to 6.
it ended between 6 to 9 rounder move.
so there is still some window of variation.

first consider starting "box number"you have 1/12 luck only.
you are not sure what horse number you are going to play.

even if you get the right starting box and
the right horse number.( if the played pieces are 6 horses )
the possibility of being Blocked in the mid-way is there.
the indication will only be the possibility of making it First.

and how are sure that your horse will not be BANG.

in the "rounder move number 3"...the disadvantage horse will
try to block the best horse mover. it will make some variables.

the disadvantage horse can hope for just better place.

as i see it ... the horse who will make it first in the Finish Line
can never be predicted until rounder move 5.

i hope those question are rightly answered.

please be accomodating , when sometimes i run out of the right word.
and verilly aggravated by when i'm running out of time.
hoping you know what i mean.
