Seeking a design partner

I am looking to join somebody in working on a collaborative game.

Here are my creds:

- I am an amateur game designer
- I shy away from traditional board game design (for now at least - please don't kill me people)
- I like the challenge of creating simplified models of complex situations (wargames, racing)
- Abstract games are A-OK with me as well
- I like potato chips
- I am looking to work on anything - be it a board based, hex based, table based, or downright freeform game
- I am a sci-fi/fantasy guy so that will likely influence my theme
- I am perfectly content to work on a humurous game rather than a serious one

I know this is a bit vague . ..but if I get more than 1 response, I will clarify a bit.

Alright, I hope I haven't scared anyone away with this either . . .

It might be interesting to post what you're looking for in a partner. What are your strengths? What weaknesses do you hope to overcome? What one thing should your potential partner be particularly good at? What one thing should s/he not be super big on?

You had me until the potato chips. I just can't work with somebody who likes potato chips.

Seriously, I would agree with Matthew's post and list what you are looking for in a partner.

Maybe we could make a gamers 'dating service' where like minded designers could get together to create new games. Hi, I'm Geoff. I'm a Capricorn and I like mexican food and playing strategy board games. :D

Ironically enough, the new piecepack design contest is for collaborators. Perhaps you could work with someone on that contest? It'd be a great way to get your feet wet.

Silverdragon0:
I would be interested in shooting ideas around with you.
I generaly like to work on anything that is a game. I tend to conjure up game ideas when I'm just going about life, or getting bored.
Alot of times when I buy a game, I end up redesigning the game to my liking to sometimes drastic extents.

Presently I am in army training for another few weeks, so email will probably have to do for a little while.

Let me know if you're interested, and if you have any ideas that you think you might like to try.
I have one game in mind regarding a football style boardgame.
