Wow. Congrats to all!

But... I know your secret! :)

Big puls in a group only score 1 point in two-player. We decided to go with 5 points in solo to make it more fun...

nestalawe,

If you don't mind can you tell me how you are pasting your game screen into the forum? When I break 100 I want to do the same :0

Hey MM!

If you are using a PC it is easy - just press the Print Screen button that is just above the Insert button.

I think this copies an image of the screen to the clipboard.

Then go into any graphics program (Paint is easiest) and Paste.

The image of the screen is now right there.

Now just select the part of the image you want with the marquee tool and copy it into a new image.

Bing, there you go! Save it as a jpeg to make sure it isn't too big and its all yours.

Hope thats clear!

I promised that I would break 100, and I did - 101! Only problem is that someone has already posted a 102.

I have saved the file as a jpeg. Now how to I attach the JPEG to my message?

On ya markmist!

Upload the jpeg to Your Account here at bgdf, by going to 'Your Account' and then uploading the jpeg.

When you see it uploaded, right click on the link to the jpeg and choose 'Copy Link Address'

Then write a forum post and cluck on the 'URL' option (top right corner when writing a forum post) and paste the link you saved. Then close the link by clicking on the button URL again.

Hope that makes some sense!

Damn it! You guys are leaving me in the dust, as I don't seem to have time to play!

It's great that Micropul's getting this kind of exposure, but I liked it better when I was the high scorer :/

:)

Congrats Hpox on such a great game design! I should get you to collaborate with me on a design...

Is the creator of this game still making sets? I would love to get my hands on a copy. I see that you can print out your own set, but it would be really nice to get the tiles...

Brilliant, Brilliant game... I want to see if the 2P plays as well as the solitare online version. I am not really one for abstract games, but something about this game is just so damn addictive!

You ever think about making expansions or new versions using the same basic concept?

p.s. I am going to have to bump up my BGG rating to a 9.5 now.

My BGG rating for Micropul is already a 10, can't be bumped up anymore. I think it's my only 10. Far and away the best 2p game I've ever played.

I decided to post my 101 game on the micropul entry on BGG instead of here. I even got a geekgold too! Check it out when you get a chance.

OK, it took me a week, but I'm back in the high score list again. A 100 just doesn't crack it anymore these days. Now I can go back to work again :)

I thought this was funny. I was really trying hard. When I got to the final six tiles I didnt think I could do it and was right.

Now that the leaderboard shows that 2 people hold 19 out of the top 30 scores, I propose to the creator of the online version that the leaderboard change to show the Top 30 highest scores for each PLAYER. This way we have a leaderboard that would look like a Top 30 ranking.

For Example - The current ranking would be:

1. IPE - 110 (This score is insane!!!, how in the hell???)
2. bhuber - 106
3. other language - 105
4. brisco - 104
T5. zaiga - 103
T5. symbol - 103
T5. PTN-Q - 103
T8. nestalwae - 101
T8. markmist - 101
T8. puppi - 101
T8. shazbot - 101
12 - 30 other players

So, I am currently tied for the 8th best Micropul player in the world!!!

Yeah I thought about that too.. But I'd think he moved on other projects...

Also, the scoring and patterns of best scores shows a real problem with big micropul being worth 5 points. Actually, it's the same problem and reason why the big micropul are worth only 1 point in 2-player game.

I think the balance is kind of lost.. Making group is too profitable..

By the way, in a 2 player game, the dynamic is completely different because one of the two player will want to finish the core as soon as possible.

This is true, but it means you have to go all out. If you want to score big through groups, you have to draw the big 'puls. If you don't, or if you do but can't close your groups, then you are screwed. the down side is that you can't really compete with those scores by doing a different strategy - small groups, big Supply (like I used to try and do).

Big 'pul worth just 1 makes it go the otehr way... these 10X scores turn into 80s and 90s, easily beaten by a big supply. Maybe big 'pul worth 3 points? Making the 110 score worth only 102, and all these 103's worth like 95? Then the two 'strategies' (big groups vs big supply) might be more comparable.

online micropul strategy guide

I have completed a strategy guide on the online version of micropul that you micropul players might be interested in. I broke up the description into three sets of strategies: basic, intermediate, and advanced.

Please check it out and give me feedback. I am especially interested in hearing from those players that have broke 100. My tops is currently 103.

I finally beat my high score of 103... and with a 107!!! Too bad 107 does not get me back on the leaderboard. I wish there was a way to change the leaderboard so that only each player's TOP score is posted and show the Top 100 instead of 30. This would encourage new players to try it - it could be disheartening to see that you have to score a 108 to even get your name on the leaderboard.

I think that this game should have a wider audience then it does - I will continue to try to drum up support.
