I agree, great post. I do disagree on a few points, though, and would like to add clarification about the nature of clipart (and other royalty-free items such as stock photography).

If you have royalty-free images of any kind, you absolutely can use them both in your prototype and, if you desire, in your final product. Royalty free has a very specific meaning: the images are copyrighted, but you have license to use them in your product without paying any royalties. Generally speaking, royalty-free images do have some kind of license associated with them that provides specific usage restrictions, but usually the only restriction is that you can
