I am looking for a way to specify dimensions of the hex I want and have a program draw a 8.5x11" sheet of hexes. Does anyone know of anything like this?

Thanks!

Joe

This Web site can generate PDF pages with hex grids; you can specify the page and hex sizes within a wide range:

This page from the same site offers many more grid-makers:

Hex drawing software?

I created and uploaded a wide variety of hex pdfs here (made them in a drawing program, Freehand). They even had both orientations (hexes running in rows vertically or horizontally), and were designed so that you could "cut them out" (the whole page) and stick them together like puzzle pieces (since printers can't print to the edge).

However, they don't seem to be in the Web Resources anymore, probably due to the change in hosts. If you're at all interested, let me know and I'll re-upload them.

Thanks! That is exactly what I needed...

The only quirk is that if you specify a leg length of 1.5, it only draws a few hexes on the page, instead of filling the available area. It should still work for what I need though.

Maybe it would be a good idea to put a link to this site in the web resources? I am probably not the only one who could benefit from it.

Thanks again!!

Joe

Edit: Matthew, I would love to see them. If I can get a full page, that would be better. Thanks!
