Looking for UK Short Run Box Production

Hello,

I have my game designed, prototyped and play tested.

What I am looking for is somewhere in the UK where I can get a short production run (10 or 20) of a fully printed A4 size box and A4 board.

I am looking to sell these games for about £10 - £15 so I do not want to end up having very high production costs due to lower production.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have looked through some of the posts here but no one seems to give a direct answer.

That's because you can't expect a company to produce 10-20 copies for a cheap price, so if you did a search for that, expect no results.

It's expensive, but less so as you make more copies (towards the thousands). The key is to make a copy that you show people at your house, and once they decide they like it you give them a copy to show their friends, and tell them to spread the word. Not that this works very often, but some people have managed to get their game sold using this method, while not losing much if any money.

Check out the guy who runs BigEToys.com (if it still exists)

I am fully aware of the fact that production in scale brings cheaper prices. I have not actually been able to find someone to do an expensive low production run for my own demo purpose.

Your suggestion of getting one made to show people to then sell word of mouth still leaves some questions - how do I get a single high quality version produced and additional versions for each one sold?

The greatest problem with getting a large amount of games produced is storing them rather than the cost involved. I just have no room to keep 1000 boxed games to sell at my outlet opportunities.

And that's the rub. At the end of the day, printers won't want to deal with such tiny quantities - it takes them almost as much time to print one copy as it does to print 1000, with the only extra cost being the actual material itself (which isn't necessarily a huge part of it.)
So you end up having to print 500 or 1000 and have nowhere to store them...

England oh dear

Hello
Yes that is the trouble with being in England or UK for that matter.
With most things especially board games parts etc there are one or two suppliers and odd printer and even they do not stock much or are setup ready, but in USA you can get almost anything.
I wish I could get a green card (or find a nice woman)
