Need 1 professional game box & 1 gameboard

Hi,

Does know of a company that will make 1 professional game box and 1 board?

I am aware of the savings and methods of making it myself using conventional methods but I need to present this to someone so I need the quality to be professional (so it looks like it looks like it just came off the assembly line).

Thanks in advance,

There are companies that will produce a single prototype for you, but expect to pay through the nose for it (even several hundred dollars).

Do you have the artwork for the box and the board? If not, then the cost for your prototype will go up even more.

If you have artwork yourself, then it may be worth looking into getting it printed in the size you need. Try any of the large copy centers, they should be able to print large format from a PDF (or even a native layout program file). It will cost a lot less than a "professional" prototype.

Once you find a place to do the output, the results really depend on your skill with assembly. You really can make a protoype that looks like it was professionally made with some practice.

Board Game Design will make a single prototype (or more if you like) for you. I found the link in the Web Resources section and have heard of others on the site that have used them (or received a quote from them) for a prototype.

the most important thing for me is the actual game box. My game is actually finished and the design of the game is done too but one the back of my game box, I need a picture of people playing the game.

The problem is that they can't play the game if it doesn't exist. Having them playing the "prototype" would be ghetto. If the game box is on the table and the board is there, then maybe I can get away with prototype cards.

I need that back of the box picture to send to the production company for my game...this is the challenge.

I'm not sure if I explained it clearly or not.

I think you explained it clearly enough, but I have some questions. Are you looking to complete the game box artwork so that you can publish the game yourself or to submit a prototype quality product to a publisher?

For a picture, you can use a variety of methods to cheat if you don't have an actual game to show. If the artwork for the board is done, try using a photo editing program to insert that image onto the game board of another game. Just be sure that no one in the picture gets in the way of the face of the board or you will have to insert the new artwork behind them in the picture.

Other than that, prototype cards and other components would be fine for a picture.

Best of luck!

You might want to check out Davision International. They're in Pittsburgh. I don't really know anything about them other than one of their reps called me recently and sent me a brochure. Their website is www.davisoninternational.com. It appears as though they have prototyping capabilities, although it's not clear to me whether they do their own R&D with the hope that manufacturers will pick up their products, or whether they're doing R&D/development for other companies on a contract basis - perhaps a little of both.
