Yes, you can purchase blank playing cards from most teacher supply stores.

Thanks for suggestion. I have tracked down a German supplier of playing card board and am hoping they will respond with an American distributor. I made cards by using actual playing cards (Ryder) and printing my graphics onto full sheet labels, then affixing and cutting to card size with a razor knife. The cards looks good and play well, but I couldn

Jake-

Think low tech: Cards can be cut out of white or colored cardboard. If your printer takes card stock print directly onto your cards, if not print on paper and copy or color copy onto card stock.
Then you can plastic coat with clear adhesive shelf paper or in one of those plastic card coating machines. For a draft, just use pens and scissors. Size for quick cut to saves paper, or use playing cards as a template or size to baseball card size to store in plastic protector sheets. Game board are just two or more pieces of cardboard bound on the back side and with the image of game covering the parts that overlap the edges. Elmer

What was your experience with color laser on coated board? There are differnt types of coated baord, such as gloss, silk and matte. Did you find that one worked better than another? I have since found Arjo Wiggins USA and am hoping one of their sales people will give me some suggestions re type of board. Also sent an e-mail to Roxcel in Austria. Can

Hi Jake,
For the cards in my prototype, I got laser stock business cards from a
company named PAPERDIRECT, INC. I went into Word Perfect, set up a table
that had the 10 matching cards, typed in the text, and printed them.
Then, I titled the flip side of the cards via the same process.
