Hello All,

I would like to know if anyone has attended GAMA in the past. GAMA is going to held in LasVegas NV, just a hop skip and jump from Salt Lake City.
Im considering attending, if I can swing the time off. Just would like to know what to expect. I have never been to any kind of trade show.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated

GAMA March 13-16

I've been to the GAMA show in the past, though not since I sold my company a few years back.

The show is geared to manufacturers in the hobby-games market showing forthcoming product to distributors and retailers. The emphasis is on the North American market though companies from Europe attend as well. It is very definitely a trade show: there's little demo-ing or recreational play.

if you want to get a feel for the shape and size of the market, as well as what's available and what's coming out, and you want a chance to meet publishers without the frenzy of Origins or Gen Con then it's worth buying a badge and going along. If you're there to hawk product, you really need a booth, and they're almost certainly all sold out by now.

GAMA 2006

For anyone interested,

I’ll be attending GAMA this year (hoorah!) and I’m looking for one person (male, non-smoker, with no other disgusting habits) to share my room at the Riviera (the convention hotel).

If any other BGDFers are going, we should definitely try to find each other. Anyone got any ideas how to accomplish that?

GAMA March 13-16

I am going to be there. Supposedly my company will have a booth there this year, but since we just got our art licensing and funding together for our CCG launch, goodness knows what it will look like and whether I'll have my other advertising materials together or not. Hopefully it'll all come together in time. If it does, I'll be super busy at booth #632. If not, I'll be super lonely over at an empty, graphicless booth #632.
