2. How paypal works

Thanks

Try: PayPal.com ;-)

They have tabs and links that describe things from both a buyer's and a seller's use of their service.

I was about to explain it, but realized that the PayPal site does a better job than I can.

Suffice it to say that I quite like it.

Does anyone here have experience using their storefront tools? I was thinking of using that (it's free) to sell games direct off our website if our group ever gets our act together and finishes production of something.

Currently all I use is the buy now buttons, setting them up is easy and the fees are nominal. I only have one product for sale so the shopping cart would be overkill. Other than the shipping tracker you won’t have need for their other services unless you start doing high volume sales. I have never had any problem with Paypal as a buyer or a seller.

I've never even heard of nochex, but I can say from experience that paypal is a great service to both buyer and seller. I think eBay actually bought them out, and that's a good power to have behind you.

The major complaint behind Paypal is the same complaint that a lot of people have with E-bay. If you ever have a problem, it's damned near impossible to get a live human being to help you work through this problem. Now for most people, there is never a problem so it's not a big deal. But if you ever do have a problem, you may have to just 'eat it' and chalk it up as a cost of doing business.
