Hey Guys,

I recently encountered this game on Steam:

http://store.steampowered.com/app/266510

It has the following board game elements:

1) Use of deck building for the adventurers items.
2) Deck building for the entire event deck.
3) Event cards are randomly drawn to form a set arrangement which functions as a level.
4) Use of cards to determine the random success or failure of an action. For example, four cards are always drawn where each card can have: success, failure, great failure or great success.

Interestingly, when this game was on Kickstarter the higher paid brackets included a table top version.

What seemed innovative to me is that it uses events as part of the deck building element, some event cards have a series of choices (like choose your own adventure) and the minimalist and infinitely scalable idea of using the event cards in an arrangement to designate a an entire level to be explored.

Apparently, it is somewhat similar to the board game Mage Knight.

What do you guys think of the basic board game design elements? Is there a game out there that comes close to this besides Mage Knight?

Thanks,

DarkDream
