This is the logo for our new game "6 Days 7 Nights". It's a co-operative game where you play as survivors of a cruise liner that has sunk in shark infested waters. The name is a play on the typical time parameters of a vacation getaway but also refers to the amount of time you need to survive before the Coast Guard arrives.

It is hard to read, looks

It is hard to read, looks like it says 5 days and 7 nights. It is a clever play to make the words look like a shark and might be good for a little decal in the game, but if you are thinking to put it as the main title to a box I would strongly encourage you to go with plain readable text.

Cute But...

The "word shark" is cute but it's hard to make out the words. Not sure I would even has seen them if you hadn't mentioned what they were in advance.

You might try a more straight forward "6 Days 7 Nights" text with a sunny cruise ship floating above the text and a school of sharks circling below the text.

We were thinking of using it as the image on the back of the cards...not for the main box.

My years growing up in the Bronx and looking at grafitti makes it easy for me to see the words but I know many others can't. :-)

The decal idea is good too.

I agree. Keep the shark silhouette as your main game motif - it is strong, but offsetting with caribbean type sunset(maybe just sunset gradient, not sun itself) would tell the story...
you couldgo high contrast (light/sunny sunset gradient above "6 Days", dark seas below "7 Nights"(with shark))...

good luck... sounds like a cool theme...lots of latitude, but should only co-operative game up to a point, then everyone turns on each other...who will be shark meat first? !! :)

I love the original shark

I love the original shark image but I have to agree. It looks very much like 5 days.

i like the logo, and I even

i like the logo, and I even think it would be good on the card backs (but probably not the box), but would go so far as to say it looks like "5 day 57 nights".

Count me among the "Can't

Count me among the "Can't read the shark" people - even the parts I can read don't look like they say "6 days 7 nights"...

Also, in vacation propaganda wouldn't it be "7 days, 6 nights?" Since you usually count the day the vacation starts and the day it ends, and all the days in between. "6 Days, 7 nights" doesn't really make sense.

dont mess with too many logos

FIRST: I wouldnt make different logos in different areas for the same game. Use only one logo.

I love the shark, personally, and with a few tweaks it could readable.

THAT SAID:
If i walk by this at a con, or on a shelf, i wouldnt be able to read it at first glance.
if you go with this as the cover logo, dont include imagery that with do nothing but clutter the box.

I also dont get a vicious feeling from the shark, its very sleak and quick (kind of like the denver broncos logo)
maybe some other angles of different sharks?
maybe one where the face is coming toward you and the tail foreshortens to the background?
