Well I am working on another "Mech" game... Which will be different from the "Pocket Arcade - MM3K" Mech game we designed earlier in 2016. That was released as a Print-aNd-Play, which got very little attention.

My question regarding the "New" Mech game is again a TITLE (Name of the Game).

Currently my best name is = "Mechs Of Steel"

Please feel free to propose alternate game titles. Without going into too much detail (which for now I don't want to)... is more "TACTICAL" than the MM3K product. MM3K - stood for "Mech Missions" and was more RPG. I'm trying to develop something LIGHTER for KIDS to play with their friends.

Anyways other names WELCOMED!

Mechs of steel implies you

Mechs of steel implies you could have mechs made of other stuff as well (also reminds me of those old workout videos 'Buns of Steel').

Could you get an acronym that spells something cool for the kids?
SLAM - Sneak Like A Mech
BOSS - Big Ol' Steel Soldier
EVIL - Extra Vehicular Incursions -Light (the L has me stumped atm)

Suggestions

Add something like "Operation: ___" or "The ___ Project" to the name to come up with something interesting. I'm just picking words and developing acronyms for them...

HOME - Hazardous Offworld Mech Engagement
LEMON - Lethally Engineered Mechs Over Neptune (but I just think this one is silly. Go for humor and this one might work okay)
DAGR - Dangerous Assault Ground Robots
SPHINX - Special Project Hammer: Invisible Night eXterminators
HAVOK - Hazardous Assault Vehicles Ordered to Kill
STRAFE - Space Tactical Robotic Assault From Earth

I could go on and on with names like this. Seriously.

To be honest, I wouldn't

To be honest, I wouldn't bother about the name of the game until it's late in the blind testing.

I want to know what I am designing...

I usually like to know the "name" of the game EARLY - It helps me focus my vision on things like what I want as a LOGO and sets the tone for the entire game...

I also like to commission the BOX top illustration... If I have a design worthy of it. That means the game has passed my own scrutiny. And believe me I'm pretty harsh on my own game designs. Aside from "Quest AC" which was my very first game (and relatively mediocre in terms of design), I learned a lot from the BGDF community, Joe and feedback from playtesters to make "Tradewars - Homeworld" a VERY GOOD game (I won't say great ... that's up to players to decide).

Another point is that I usually like to SECURE the domain name for the game I am designing. So when I get names, I double-check to see if they are available (via BGG) and not taken (via GoDaddy).

Thrilling wonder type names.

agree 100%
names, the cover pic for the box, etc come second to a well designed working game.
However, since giving names is fun, I´m thinking of some thrilling wonder type names for your reading pleasure!

Iron Generals

Collossus of Dread

2076 Decimation!

Adamantine Legion

Armored Defence Squad

The Harrows of Scion

etc...

(you gotta read it in an impossibly deep gasoline gargling death metal voice for it to work)

Good luck with the poject and I hope to see a finished product sometime soon.

Not talking about tradewars. The topic is called New "Mech" Game, isn't it?

If I were to comission box art for every new game sketch I ever had, I would be broke and living on the street by now :)

What I`m trying to say, maybe it's better to make a prototype first (it can be literally called "The new mech game") and then see if it's worth it to spend time on coming up with an actual title.
