Meeplevania map

Meeplevania is a game about vampires and meeples. Taking place in the land of Meeplevania, several vampire hunters have joined forces in an attempt to track down Count Meepula, the infamous meeple vampire! Played over a series of rounds, where each player takes a turn at being Count Meepula, Meeplevania is a deduction and bluffing game that can be played with 2-4 players, ages 8+ in under 30 minutes.

You can grab the 7 page PDF to print and play right here. http://trollitc.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Meeplevania.pdf

What you’ll need to play -

The PDF so you can print out the 10 cards and the 4″ x 4″ map of Meeplevania.

10 Red cubes (or 10 pennies or 10 things of the same color). These represent potential Count Meepulas in your game.

3 different colored Meeples – the hunters!

5 white Victory cubes (again, anything may serve, as long as they are identical).

Please feel free to let me know what you think! I’m looking for thoughts on what works, what doesn't, what you can break and if you had a decent time of it or not!

None of my friends would play

None of my friends would play on account of the meeple shtick. Then again, we are very stuck up people who use gaming solely to conceal our alcoholism, so probably not the target demographic.

"we are very stuck up people

"we are very stuck up people who use gaming solely to conceal our alcoholism"... Right. I'm designing a game for you lot then too.

I'll call it... "Whisky Meeple."

Looks interesting, I did not

Looks interesting, I did not read the rules yet. But would it not be interesting that 1 player plays dracula and the other players the hunters a bit like in "Fury of dracula"

Thanks Iarienna! It's a neat

Thanks Iarienna!

It's a neat way to give every player a chance to be a bloodsucking monster.

Not clear

I read this sentence several times, and I still am not sure what is meant

3.) They can ask Count Meepula if they are adjacent to a territory. Count Meepula must answer truthfully.

Do you mean that they ask the Count if they are adjacent to his (the Count's) current territory of residence? It's the only thing that makes sense. If they are actually in his territory (i.e. they could have won if they had investigated) does he say yes or no?

For Count Meepula's turn, I assume, if he replaces the down card for one in his hand, then the down card goes back into his hand. You should say so. (I originally had "is discarded" there, but when I read the rest of the rules, I realized that did not make sense.)

I think, if you state that the down card represents the "Current Residence" and say that this means where the Count is currently residing, then you can use the phrase 'Current Residence' elsewhere and it will be clear.

I like it! Scotland Yard light.

The could say "Count Meepula,

The could say "Count Meepula, are you adjacent to Plaidhatvia?" And the Count would have to answer yes, or no, depending in if they were or not.

If he is not adjacent to that territory (he could be in it for instance, or on the other side of the board) the count answers 'no'.

I think you're right in the rules clarity bit with the Count's current residence. I'll change that!

Thanks so much for your feedback!
