I just finished the first draft of the rulebook for the football game I've been working on. If you have time to read through it and give me some feedback, I would greatly appreciate it.

Any spelling/grammar errors?

Does the game make sense?

Is the rulebook organized well?

Is anything confusing?

Any suggestions on ways to improve it?

Thanks!

hmm... TL;DR

But ... I have a suggestion to you. Create an account at The Game Crafter (TGC), then create a game, upload a PDF everyone can download and then pay the $30.00 fee for the Sanity Test.

You goal is to score 70% or higher.

You may have to make corrections and it may take 2 - 3 times so figure about $100 worthwhile of review and testing.

This is a very good service offered by TGC. They have all sorts of categories, some you can ignore because they are about marketing your game on TGC, etc.

Do it at least once and ... see what you get as results.

Obviously be "open-minded" and be ready to restructure your rulebook. There is a preferred/prescribed format. And if you haven't followed it, it will require a lot of editing the first time around. Second or third time is ironing out details to make sure the rulebook is as "good as it gets" (70%+)

I had to do it because of a crowdsale back in June 2015. But I was very satisfied with the analysis and assistance. Like I said, try to be objective and don't take anything personally. They rip through everyone's babies - to make them better in the end!

(Thank you TGC for offering this wonderful service!)

Cheers.

That's a really good idea and something I look to do in the near future. The game is already in their system, so it'll be easy.

I'm just trying to get as many eyes on the thing as possible.
