Hey Guys,

I'm working on a new game and I'm wondering how everyone is feeling about the card layout and art design. Let me know please.

Aside from the practical concerns with the bleed area around the edges
I don't think everything needs to be PURELY pixelated in order to make it look good. For example, the recently kickstarted game Boss Monster uses a mixture of pixel art and some nice effects to make its cards look good. I think applying a border to your numbers on the icons, or even smoothing the edges of those icons might make the cards look a little nicer while still keeping the retro-game feel.

Design wise, the best part of the layout is the bottom of the card. Everything is organized and the symbols are easy to read (with a possible exception to the grey symbol. With the number in front of it I can't tell what it is). The name of the creature and it's sub-name would be a lot more appealing if they weren't touching, I feel.

If the game itself is supposed to have a retro-ish feel to it then it's cool. I think you could take it a little farther though.

Thanks

Yeah, I changed the top lettering to address that. And, what other ways you think it could be improved?

Border

It has a white border to distinguish it from the general design. The lettering I changed it too is not as Bloxy and it helps it tons
