Looking for suggestions on dice

I'm working on a game that focuses around having dice, but instead of numbers the dice will have pictures, or icons on the faces. I've checked with a few 'custom dice' websites, and for the set of 10 dice that I need, it will be at least $65 before shipping.

I am currently using Avery brand Multi Use Labels, measuring 1/2" x 3/4", which are working sorta well, but its a pain in the butt to get them cut down to the right size.

Any other suggestions folks?

What about those round dots

What about those round dots that are made for prices? Those can be pretty small.

You can find them at Staples in the labels section; here's a bunch on Amazon:

If you're just beta-testing you can always make a chart, which is easy to change on the fly, until you have a better sense of what you want your permanent distribution to be.

Here's a link to a great article by Steve Jackson about his design process for Zombie Dice.

Indented blank dice...

If you're only working with d6es, consider indented blank dice:

Note that they sell the dice, and the pre-cut sticker sheets for them.

Blank dies with labels

So now I have to go out and find a place that sells dies nearby!

Well I found a place nearby that sells dies: a set of 10 polyhedral dies was $10.99. Pretty pricy... But I thought I'd share the manufacturer since they have a WONDERFUL website with over 1,200 different dies.

They also have BLANK dies with LABELS... Not to mention all kinds of animal dies... if anyone is interested! ;)

Dice. One die, many dice. "I

Dice. One die, many dice.

"I rolled three dice. This one die here shows a 6, these two dice show 4s."

"Dies" are, if anything, die molds.
