Advice on Distribution

Hello everyone,

I'm a game designer working to publish my first game. I've learned a lot on the way and have managed to raise funds through Kickstarter to get the game printed!

...but now I'm trying to figure out what I'll do with the massive number of games I'll be receiving in a few months. I don't think I quite have the salesman skills needed to sell them all myself, so I'm hoping to find a distributor to help me get the games on store shelves.

Does anyone have any distributors they'd recommend?
Any advice on how to approach them? Is cold calling the best strategy?
When I do contact a distributor, what information should I have at hand? What questions should I be prepared to answer?

Thanks so much for any advice you can offer :)

You should check out Game

You should check out Game Salute. I believe they do distribution (and warehousing, if needed).

You can absolutely approach

You can absolutely approach the distributors directly. I did this with Chaos & Alchemy before Game Salute decided to publish the game. I actually already had distribution agreements in place with Alliance and ACD before I even started a Kickstarter. They have information on their web sites about how to reach out to them.
