UPDATE...

To fill my portfolio with certain types of projects I'm offering some free graphic design services:

CCG Design
Game Board Design
Custom Dice

If you need these services for your game send me a message! If your game needs some graphic design not listed above, send me a message and it might be something I would do for free to add unique items to my portfolio.

.....

As a long-time gamer I'm interested in applying my career skills (graphic design) to my love of games. I'd be happy to talk with developers about their games and budget. I'm willing to negotiate a fair price to save you some money (while receiving a high-quality product) so that I can expand my portfolio with further game projects.

I have worked for the past 8+ years in both print and web design. I have a very good knowledge of page layout, software and image manipulation.

Feel free to email me to answer any questions you may have or to talk about a project.

Testimonial:

I had Jason make me a logo, and it came out great. He is professional and the colors are just what I wanted. I was also impressed by the speed at which he completed our request. This was a big help to a small publisher like myself. We definitely plan on using him again in the future.

Design Advice

Hi Jason,

I've read your post and wondered if you can spare me some advice on the graphic layout of a game board. The thing is I can't even illustrate a hangman myself but I found a way out to plot the board spaces for playtesting. Now, I can't find a designer that can convert my schematics to an actual integrated illustration. I'm emailing you two scenarios of my game. Each of them will be a game board by itself. The first one is a castle with several floors connected by stairs. Rooms to the top of the page are up, and the dungeon is below level. The stairway leading to the cell is supposed to be round and inside a conning tower. I don't know if what I'm saying it is understandable (english is not my first language), but my question is: is there a way to make this look like a four levels building? Maybe the second scenario (the catacombs) is easier because there are many independent levels of depth, to the bottom dungeon and vault level. But the lava river and falls present a challenge regarding what is at one side and what is on the other.

I appreciate your offer to support designers from your area of expertise. I know this may be way too much to ask but I wouldn't want to miss this opportunity. Any feedback or advise would be much appreciated.

My kind regards
