Hello everyone!

I am launching Reign: The Card Game come June 10th. Seeing as the BGDF community is one of the most helpful and knowledgeable communities when it comes to feedback on game design, I was hoping you could have a look at it.

As it stands, there is yet to be a video (one will be uploaded within the next fortnight) and I still have one or two more things to add. But please let me know what you think! What kind of things have I not covered very well and what should I expand on?

Thank you for all your help and support,
GG

Lots of issues with the

Lots of issues with the introductory story, to the point that I'd say it needs to be scrapped and rewritten entirely instead of just merely being revised. Writing like this makes me cringe at the thought of what the instruction book would look like.

The illustration for "Gain the influence of a house" looks very much like a bear being unnaturally affectionate toward that guy from God of War.

I don't like the animated headers. They distract me while I'm trying to read the text, and I expect that clicking on one will send me to a site selling discounted Viagra. The lens flare effect you used also makes the text look washed out.

There are two problems in this sentence, "We are excited to say that Reign: The Card Game will be are first game on Kickstarter!" You'll want to proofread your copy.

Your pie chart is missing the profit that your company would make from the game, thereby allowing you to keep operating as a business, generating new, future products. Personally, I prefer KS projects that support business growth to one-shot productions.

My only comment is...

5% for artwork... Wow that seems pretty low. On your typical crowdfunding that would be for $20k, that amounts to only $1000... That's insanely LOW. With a $10k goal, that's only $500 for all your artwork, really?!

For my crowdfunding campaign it's 25% (that's why I am having the Kickstarter) to fund the remainder of the artwork and get the game produced.

But different strokes for different folks.

Fair enough, the introductory text was written by me. Writing was never my strong point. The rulebook was written by another member of the team.

Well, unfortunately I cannot un-see this now. Not sure if there is an easy fix.

I have heard very mixed results on this point. Some people like the animated banners some people hate them. Not sure what to do on that one. Is there a middle ground?

Noted, thanks for picking that up.

That is a good point, I will be taking the time to rework the chart to reflect the profit that would be kept.

The 5% was for the final touches on the artwork, but I can see how this is confusing. I believe we lumped the money already spent on the art into the production costs. I will fix this up when I redo the chart.

Thanks for you feedback guys :)
