Hi guys,
I have some questions for those of you that have spent a fair amount of time finding/using manufacturing companies to print finished game designs and/or prototypes. I have not been able to find one company that can create all of my components and ship everything in a box to me. And... I've had trouble getting responses from most the people I've emailed. I think this topic could be helpful for other people self-publishing or just creating a fancy prototype.
Here are the components of my game:
Cards
full color rounded corner cards, about 110 of them.)
Hexagon map tiles (As titled, these cardboard tiles are used to create a modular map.)
Punch out tokens
Same material as the map tiles, so quite thick. These small tokens represent ownership of provinces, special modifiers to territories, etc...
Plastic/Wood figures
There are three figures depicted in the game: population, militias, and knights. These could be wooden pawn figures in various shapes which I think would look very classy indeed, or regular plastic miniatures. But I've had the most trouble here. The little wooden guys could be simple: a wooden pawn without the head part, so it's like a cube that's rounded off on top. A small one of these and a big one, and then a regular pawn piece. Or a wooden horse figure representing a knight and the 2 pawn pieces. I am open to suggestions. But the colors I'm looking for are not bright colors like yellow, red and blue. More like, brown, dark green, burgundy, gray, etc... I am open to dyeing the wooden pawns myself since I don't think very many companies produce pawns in "vintage" colors, just "SORRY" colors.
Rules
Full color rules stapled together.
Tuck boxes
2 full color tuck boxes for the 2 card decks.
Full color game box
Not very picky how the box works, just needs to fit everything (obviously) and I would like the option of doing full color on both sides.
So... these are the components! As I said before, I am very open to outsource the creation of these components to various companies and then packaging myself. But... if anyone knows of one reliable company that can produce everything, that would be a Godsend (if they're not too expensive of course)!
Help or criticism is really appreciated.
