Duotrope's Digest - Statistics

Back when I was writing short stories and sending them off to magazines, I started using Duotrope's Digest to track my submissions. This was great, because it was a central point for all my submissions, and when you added everyone's data together, you could get some great information about how a company responds.

Check out the Submission Tracker here : http://www.bgdf.com/node/769
Check out the Stats that come out from users : http://www.bgdf.com/node/770

Does anyone have something like this? Does anyone want to make something like this?

I think it would be great to look and see that, for example (and I'm making this up), Amigo takes an average of 72 days to respond, and has rejected 90% of submissions tracked through BGDF.com

Great!

That's a very interesting idea!

I'm putting together a site that's potentially relevant, so I'll add it to the list of potential features.

This form can collect the data, and then I can publish the results. It would be great if we could put in old submissions that we have responses for, as then we could get some results out soon.

Cool

I like this and wouldn't mind seeing this as a part of BGDF permanently... hopefully some of the admins will see the same????

Oye, I guess I'll put off working further on mine while this vote goes on.

There have been 19 responses to mine so far, which doesn't provide much aggregate data, but it's a good start.

Well we can always just let you make/maintain your version and put a link to it from the site. Another possible solution/option.

It's possible, although I'm seeing the limitations of what I've created already. I'm a spreadsheet man, and this should be handled with a database, so that's limiting.

I'd certainly be interested and willing to help maintain and create something new (as well as importing data that I have collected) if BGDF decides to do this. And, if BGDF decides not to, I'll just keep mine up, with it's limitations.
