Correct me IF I am incorrect...

Just an FYI "Laboratory Projects" start at $200 USD and this is considered a Fund which gets depleted as hours on a Project are spent.

The unfortunate part is that this is for PROTOTYPE projects only. As you cannot use anything custom created by "The Game Crafter" (TGC) Laboratory in a TGC Game.

But they've created amazing stuff like Custom Sand Timers and Promotional Banners for Conferences to large 6-Foot Standies for "The Captain is Dead!" and this is just to name a few.

If you want to create components for a PROTOTYPE (knowing you will most probably need to manufacture in China for the final product), a Laboratory Project may be right for you.

Or if you need something CUSTOM for Promotional Purposes ... TGC's Laboratory may be an ideal candidate to get what you need (or want) to get done. For any purpose like promotional content, etc. etc.

Cheers and Kudos TGC!

TGC Laboratory can't make

TGC Laboratory can't make components that can be added to regular print on demand games, but they can make a batch of custom items that can be added to a single bulk order of games. Contact support if you're interested in making this happen.

As a follow-up...

If you plan to have a crowdsale and want to include a CUSTOM component for that BULK SALE ... Is it possible to include "Laboratory" components within that crowdsale??? I know if you are using a BULK ORDER to fulfill something like a Kickstarter with upwards of 1,000+ units then "The Game Crafter" could be a more feasible manufacturing partner. I'm not sure if the pricing is AS GOOD as if it were from China... But more competitive for sure.

So I get fulfilling a crowdfunding campaign using a BULK ORDER. Which probably most people would shy-away and choose China for production.

But for a TGC crowdsale ... That is something specific to TGC.

Would that work too???

Great question. Here's the answer.

Great question. I asked the support team about being able to put custom items into a crowd sale and they replied with the following:

"Yes, it can be done, but they can’t sell the game with that component in it before or after the crowd sale. The “pick fee” is the cost of the virtual item when we add it to the system, so that cost is added to their game.

Basically, they would have to leave the game unpublished until 24 hours before the crowd sale starts, and then unpublish it to remove the virtual item after the crowd sale ends."

So, TLDR is that it can be done and if you or anyone else here want to do that then you can reach out to our support team and they can assist. :)
