Howdy!

For the past few weeks, I've been working with friends all across the USA to assemble the second promotional video for Inevitable. Inevitable is a board game that Jeremy and I are independently publishing. We're getting 500 copies made at a commercial printer, and we have high hopes that we'll be able to follow that up with another run of 1,000. It should be available by the end of September, at the latest.

The movie (like the game) is weird, outrageous, and funny, and I'd be flattered if you'd take a moment to watch it.

Thanks!

Very Nice

It kept my attention, nicely done. What program did you use to make it?

I only listened to the first

I only listened to the first 10 seconds and had to turn it off, my wife was laughing at me too much to continue. I will sneak back tonight and listen to the rest :)

Isn't this the kickstarter game you guys did? I thought your game looked fun and would be something I would look into buying myself. Best of luck, but you need to put a warning on the video to not watch it in public lest you get dubbed "geeky" as my wife now is referring to me.

Voiceover by a friend of Jeremy's

A friend of Jeremy's did the voiceover. I'll ask the v.o. narrator if he's okay with me revealing more info about him, and will do so if he permits.

iMovie, Photoshop, Illustrator, Garage Band, etc..

I'm glad you liked it, emxibus.

Jeremy and I used Photoshop and Illustrator to make and touch up most of the images (and paper, ink, and a scanner, of course).

I don't know what the narrator used to record his voice originally. I used Garage Band to trim and tweak the original voice over a bit.

I don't know what Sluk used to create the sound effects and music and mix that with the voice over.

I used iMovie to splice it all together – all the titles, transitions, pan-'n-scan, etc.. I did all my work on a Macbook running 10.6 with 2.16 GHz Core 2 Duo processor and 2 GB RAM.

Rated "G" for "Geeky"?

I *think* this is a good sign, as it indicates that the movie establishes very quickly that it's for a game that's immersed in geek culture.

...Then the video did it's job well! It *is* the Kickstarter project we did. We're still working diligently to complete it; it's progressing nicely!

What? She didn't already know you're a geek? Don't be afraid to let it show. Let your Geek Flag fly!
