Hi everyone!!!

Just launched our first illustrated Mafia game, I have three original games in the works but thought it might help to launch artwork for a game people know first to get some followers. Check out my Kickstarter page here and I also just started a Facebook page were I'm posting artwork for my new games so please send a friend request! Thanks!

Typo

You have a typo on your pledge for $100.00. Instead of "were" it perhaps should be "will".

Good luck with Kickstarter.

Aside from that video, has anyone done a SEARCH on Board Game Geek? (http://www.boardgamegeek.com)

There are TONS of games with the NAME = MAFIA.

And from the video, I guess the games sound very similar (Doctor, Citizens, Mafioso, etc.)

I would maybe try to find another name for the game... Since there are so many on BGG.

And don't call yours ULTIMATE MAFIA, because that name is already taken! ;)

Just some thoughts...

You could call your game "Sausalito" (It's this tiny town north of San Francisco). It is not far from Alcatraz (the old prison on the island). There could be some kind of twist, the mob uses Sausalito to help prisoners escape from Alcatraz...

This was just one idea - since I thought Sausalito was such a cool town (small - but cool)!

It also has an "Italian" sounding name... AND Sausalito was used for Bootlegging during the Prohibition era. It is also used by Rum runners...

There was also a conflict between the rich people on the Hill vs. the waterfront.

You can check out the wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sausalito,_California

I think the point is that it IS the same game, just with some new artwork.

I'm confused now!

I'm confused... Is "lundquistas" the original author of the *Mafia* game??? Is this what you are trying to say? If so, well then keep the name. There are so many game entitled "Mafia", I'm not sure which one is the original...

Take *Ultimate Mafia*. The look of the NAME is almost IDENTICAL to his... Does that mean that Ultimate Mafia is a variant of Mafia... Or are the both of them trying to do the same thing...

Very confusing...

Back in the day

About 10 years ago I used to play this game with a group of people. We just wrote rolls on slips of paper and handed them out to people. I don't think there is an"origin" to this game. It's just a classic party game that has gotten passed around for years by word of mouth.
