Friends: With great sadness, we announce the cancelation of Protospiel Indy 2020. As COVID-19 cases continue to rise, and with the future so uncertain, we cannot in good faith promote the event. For those who have already purchased badges, we will begin refunding them as soon as possible. This leads us to our second announcement.
Tabletop Events (TTE) is the system we use to organize Protospiel Indy. They are in trouble. As conventions shut down, TTE refunded their fees, which drained their funds. And with no new conventions soon, their revenue has dried up. On March 25th TTE announced they would cease operations on May 1, likely permanently.
We don't want to organize Protospiel Indy 2021 without Tabletop Events. Their system is uniquely designed to support events like ours. And they are our friends. To keep TTE going during the pandemic, our community has organized Con of Champions, a fundraiser and virtual convention.
