I was going to comment on how "I Wish The Game Crafter" (TGC) could sponsor a Protospiel "Up-here in Canada"... Well it turns out THEY DO! (Wow)

Protospiel North is going to be held at the Beverly Halls SPK in Downtown Toronto:

https://tabletop.events/conventions/protospiel-north-2020

It's going to be Friday May 29th to Sunday, May 31st 2020! Maybe TGC could provide us with more information about who will be present from TGC's crew... Will JT be making the trip "Up-North" Hehehe... It will be a month before Summer so the weather should be "pleasant" and not cold.

Anyone planing on going to this event???

Maybe people will start

Maybe people will start attending events again by that point :/

(Dunno what's going on in Canada, but in the US there's a rolling snowball of cancellations of get-togethers)

We've got Blockades... And people are staying home too...

Amidst the pandemic, I guess that's not a "smart" thing to discuss ATM because of all the widespread cases all over the place of COVID-19... But I still want to KNOW: "How many Canadians knew about Protospiel North ... and had "planned" to go before of all of the Pandemic News...?"

I realize that end of May is still 2 months away... Nevertheless it might be a good time to think about it (normally outside the extraneous circumstances... of the pandemic)!

I was supposed to attend last

I was supposed to attend last years Protospiel North but life got in the way. This year I'm also supposed to attend but, we'll see what happens.

I am surprised it's not

I am surprised it's not already canceled due to the virus. It should be.

It's interesting to know they moved the convention to Toronto, much closer than the other city between Toronto and Niagara, was it Hamilton?

It's just a very bad timing for this year.

Ya it was Hamilton...

I attended a few years back... But I guess with TGC's supporting the scene, they decided to move to a larger venue... In Toronto.

As @larienna pointed out ... It may be bad timing... But then again all people in Canada are being asked is to STAY HOME for 2 weeks, that would put resuming normal life for April ... Still PLENTY of time until the end of MAY!

Wonder what will happen???

If they're going to cancel it will probably be closer to the event date.

Breakout Con in Toronto was supposed to happen next weekend but it JUST got cancelled (or rather, postponed until 'later this year') 2 days ago. They had to wait for the government to officially recommend no gatherings of X size before they could due to the amount of money they would otherwise be out because of contracts and insurance. I imagine it's similar with Protospiel North.

For now, but you can easily expect a 1-2 month quarantine.

If it goes that long, it does screw up some of my plans too like as I was supposed to move in May. We will see what happen.
