I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jeremy and I am an aspiring game designer. I signed up here in hopes of feeding off of other, more accomplished designers to ultimately become a better designer myself.

Yeah it's possible I went overboard on the prototype. Thus far I think it has been worth it, though, as it's been helping me to get better feedback from playtesters. People tend to take it more seriously when it's not something I printed out on my computer :-) Plus, I just love the theme so much I couldn't help myself.
