Hello everyone on BGDF! I am happy to be a part of this site.

About 2 years ago, I was invited over to a friend's house to play a game of D&D (we set it in the Wheel of Time universe). We made it a weekly thing, meeting up every Sunday to play a session. Although the game was very fun, what I really looked forward to each Sunday was after our D&D session, when we would bust out the board and card games. We started with Munchkin, and slowly introduced others - Catan, Carcassonne, and Dominion. Playing the games was very much fun, but then I started thinking about what my own game would be like, if I were to make one.

Flash forward to today! I have spent about a year reading up on everything can about card games. I must have read just about every single one of Shannon Applecline's card games reviews on rpgnet.com. After a lot of research, and thinking long and hard, I have created my own card game, built a prototype, and commenced test playing. I look forward to sharing the card game with you guys soon!

Welcome!

Hi SinJinQLB,

Welcome to the site!

Years ago, I also played in a D&D campaign followed by Munchkin; good times!

What is the theme of your card game?

The theme to my card game is fishing.

You "pick" a fish from your hand you want to try and catch, "cast" your fishing rod by linking certain cards together, and then see if the fish will bite. But watch out - if you don't cast your rod correctly, the line will snap and the big fish will get away! Use bragging points to bid on the right lures, and use the fish you catch to win trophies as you compete against the other players.

I'm working on my pitch :)
