Hi!

I just signed in, but I came to read the forums around there quite some times since a year or so.
I'm a student in physics, finishing my master degree in july (hopefuly!)

Game designing is my hobby since very long, and I have a lot of projects running, most of which are kind of left aside. The main ones are:
-A trading card game which is played on a grid, to recreate the strategical feeling you have in a tactical-rpg video game. (You play units on your side of the board, and they can move and attack the ennemys, you play spells and equipement as well, to help you. You also play land cards, which modify the landscape and affect the strategy, of course.) This is my main project, I'm currently working on the fourth version of the rules and balancing, and I hope to start the tests around Easter.
-An online grand strategy game. It is a browser PHP game, and it would be set in the Warhammer universe. (I am aware of copyright questions and shouldn't have problems with it.) The game emphasis on role play between the different characters, even those who aren't players. This is my main programmation project.
-A party-like card game, where each character builds a group of adventurers and tries to defeat the enemies he encounters or the rival groups. It is a game I designed and tested in a month or two, it is now finished. The rules seem strange but are in fact very easy to remember. Most playtesters say it's really a fun game, but would add more choice to the player, because in its current state, the game offers only two choices to the players on their turns, most of the events being resolved randomly (take a card...) or by a fixed result (compare strength values, for example)
-A duelling fighting card game, not sure of the distribution format yet, it doesn't matter. It is based on duels of martial artists, where each card is one of the character's moves. The game is really fast because I wanted it to be representative of a real fight. I know UFS (the main example of such a game, but never played it), but I changed a lot of things about it.
-Some others I like to think about, but never actually did much work on.

My family and friends suggest me to contact publishers to show them some of my games, but I'm not so sure they would be good enough. I would love to publish a game, but I think they do all have a lot of problems, and that's why I come here! I would love to get feedback on some of my projects, as well as talking about design in general. I have some ideas I know I'm never going to use (... who knows?), so I thought about sharing them there, if they are new.

So yeah, sorry about the text wall (especially since english is not my main language...), and Hi everyone!

Hi, and thanks!

I'll present my main game soon.

Do you know if the people here are okay with non-english card pictures, where I'd translate them under the picture, or do they want the translations on the pictures themselves?

I have no idea. Go with the way you are going to make the game, and if it is a problem we'll let you know.
