First off let me say thanks for having me! I have been wanting to be a game designer since I was 6. I'm in my mid thirties now, so I have been mulling this over for a while.
Truthfully, I am really good at thinking of ideas and really bad at follow through. I am working at changing that, which is what lead me to the boards.
I am in the latter stages of developing a card game, and was looking for boards to discuss it when I came across BGDF.
I am hoping to turn game design into my occupation. I realize that it is a long road filled with infinite peril, but a man can dream, and then after dreaming about it for a decade or so start doing something to move in that direction. I can't think of a better place to discuss game design than, well, a board for game designers.
