Hi! My name is Will, and I'm a boardgamer and aspiring game designer from Oxfordshire.

I've always been interested in playing and designing games; in my teens I primarily played Warhammer and other miniatures games, but now I mostly play boardgames and RPGs.

I enjoy a broad range of board games, from loosely themed abstract games through light Eurogames and more bulky American fare. My favourite game to play is probably Archipelago, though my favourite game for its design is Tinner's Trail.

I'll be honest - like a lot of people here, I expect, I would love to see one of my creations in production - but for the moment, I want to improve my skillbase and connect with other people who enjoy this hobby.

Outside of board games, I enjoy LARP, hiking and theatre, and I work in a fairly staid job in IT Support.

While I'm relatively new to BGDF, I certainly want to take the opportunity to greet newcomers. There's plenty out here for the aspiring designer, from accomplished designers to those looking to hone their skills as they prepare for the future.

Definitely take the time to review the myriad pages and in no time, you'll be chatting with artists, publishers, designers, play-testers, and an array of other folks who find their passion in this arena.
