Cartography looks interesting.
I am working on a tile laying area majority game with triangular tiles called Great Lakes.
I looked over the rules and im confident we have not designed the same game. Mine has 2 different units to place (sailboats and cargo ships) each of which scores differently and there is no capturing but has a mechanism to move your own sailboats.

It’s very new and i don't have any pictures yet. I could take some this weekend. I have been meaning to do some more work on it.
I chose triangles because I like the topography it creates and for novelty.
