I cleaned up all the garbage and left traces so that the user can be BANNED.
Nothing worst than getting a ton of crap that does no one any good.
Rich has been advised, I left him one thread (which is locked) and he can see if he wishes to ban the user or not.
Thanks for cleaning.
Didn't know we had another admin on this site. Great to know there are admins hidden in the shadows.
Weird stuff seem to be happening lately. And perhaps it is best to warn everyone to be on guard?
Edit:
What will happen to the plant guy?
I looked into that issue and I'm not sure what has happened. Somehow another user was able to post in someone else's Blog and Journal. It's very peculiar - usually you need to OWN the Blog to be able to write new entries into it.
Anyone can COMMENT/REPLY (unless it is locked like the Korean thread - which I did to make sure nobody writes messages - it's left there just to be reviewed by another admin...)
I'll mention the plant thing - IDK what happened.
Thanks for catching this. The admin setting that led to the bot intrusion has been fixed. It was changed in a temporary measure to fix a password problem another user was having, and it inadvertently left the door open for bots to storm in.
All bot traces will be eliminated... except this one (as an record)
At least it was easily solved.
In other news, "Synthetic vs Real Plants" is a very underutilized theme. Think about it. :)
I think I see a theme emerging for the July showdown (synthetic vs real). Sounds ripe for some social deduction games.
Looks like a solid team effort in solving this. Nice work, folks! :D
Real vs fake? As in blade runner?
You guys sure know how to turn things positive. :D
We try :)
