IMG_0843.JPG

Chaos: S.F. Island (working Title), is my first board game design.

Theme: Near future S.F. has been struck by a massive earthquake south of the city. Ocean water and magma has made S.F. a dangerous island. the city is filled with good Samaritans, criminals, law agents, stage 1 infects and unique. Most people want out of the island, while the Illuminati wants in. Will San Fransisco become sanctuary for the 1%? Or will the city become an island of hell?

Game modes: The game has several game modes that can be played. There are Campaign modes which can be played co-operatively with other players. As well as 'every man for themselves' modes.

Overview of the game-play. The 1st step is to create a character.

Create a character;

1. Players choose a character background.
a. Backgrounds are Based on the type of people that are in the island such as; Good Samaritans, Criminals, law agents, stage 1 infects, and some unique. (example: Criminal - Ex inmate. the ex inmate receives stat bonuses to me-lee attacks but cannot have Good Samaritans and Law Agents as survivor followers. player starts the game with a shank weapon in their backpack, they may place the weapon face-down.)

2. Players choose 2 traits.
a. Traits gives each character a bonus with a negative side effect (example, Trait: Greedy Player draws 2 loot cards whenever they loot. Player cannot trade items to other players)

3. Players choose 1 Mortal condition (MC).
a. Mortal condition gives each player a negative effect. Some may come in handy (Example: alcoholic. whenever this player has no alcohol in their inventory, they get -1 action points per turn. Whenever this person uses Alcohol they receive an additional dice when attack with a me-lee weapon.

4. Players choose their Starting Stats.
a. Stats are base off of Strength, Wits, Agility, and General Skills (SWAG). Players start with a minimum of 1 in each stat. then add or subtract 1 point if any of thier character creation background, traits, and/or MC says so.
I. The maximum is 3. and the lowest that the game can reduce any stat is to 0.

Player stats SWAG.

Player stats (SWAG), are stats that will allow or disallow players; to use items, use certain weapons, card hand size, cards use and effects, carrying weight, etc... let's take a look into what each SWAG stat does.

1. Strength(S). S allows players to have combat and non combat mechanics.
a. Non combat- each point into S allows players to carry 1 more item in their inventory. S is used to meet quest requirements and environmental hazards.
b. Combat- each point in combat allows S users to use certain weapons in the game (example: S1-bat or a knife, S-2 baseball bat, S3- duel wield S1 and S2 items)

To be continued.
