Word-a-bout: The final list of fragments has been created

I've finally had a chance to create a spreadsheet of all the word fragments. I've had them manually written on graph paper for about 2 weeks now. And with all the ticks and crossed out letters, it was getting hard to keep track. Now I can fiddle with getting the 90 cards laid out and designed so I can playtest before sending it to the printers.

So here is the plan:

  1. Revisit the list of card and rebuild the 3 fragments. The order that was created was a pseudo-randomization (I built a pattern to dictate what gets chosen based on the list and the order). So far, it's a good balance of vowels and consonant as well as hard and easy combos.
  2. Input all the fragments into my Ai file and set up for applying artwork to the front and back of the card (note to self: finish designing the logo and create design samples for review)
  3. PnP the game one more time with the wife, mom, sister and friend.
  4. Check my cardstock chip to figure out is 12pt glossy is rigid enough for tokens.
  5. Rework the token chip to have a uniform design. Keep star, and add star to cards.
  6. Upload to BGDF and CardGameForge and get some blind playtesting done.

This is the short list. Of course, there are all kinds of little iterations that need to be addressed but for those interested in where the project stands right now, this is what you need to know before you can get your hands on this little treat.
